How it started
A small idea, plainly held.
Buying tile in India is harder than it should be. Too many middlemen, too many photos that don't match the slab, too few people who'll pick up the phone. Basantile began as a quiet answer to that — open one studio, keep the catalog small, write the prices in plain numbers.
We opened in 2026 from Sector 6, Karnal — a single room of material and daylight, run by people who would rather talk to you than market at you.
The catalog runs deep — over a thousand tiles across marble, porcelain, mosaic, and stone, gathered from makers and importers we trust across India. The site is the shortlist. Send us the brief, and the trade desk takes it from there — sourcing, samples, and a written quote within a working day.
"We say no a lot — to drop-shippers, to thin imports, to anything we wouldn't put in our own kitchen."
